7th September 2017: M&L Hospitality has announced its newest premium independent
hotel, West Hotel, opening December 2017.
Located near Barangaroo at 65 Sussex Street, Sydney, West Hotel is named after its position in the emerging western corridor of Sydney, sitting between Sydney Harbour and the CBD.
The brand new West Hotel offers discerning corporate and leisure travellers a truly unique experience with 182 designer rooms including four suites, a modern Australian restaurant and bar, a fully equipped gym with tailored work-outs, state of the art technology with in room bluetooth speakers and complimentary Wifi.
West Hotel’s stunning centrepiece – a central open-air garden atrium with luscious foliage and sparkling lights – creates a relaxed oasis where guests can escape the busy city life to have a drink, work or relax.
“M&L Hospitality continues to invest in the strong Sydney hotel sector with the development of the new West Hotel,” says M&L Hospitality CEO, Neil Maxwell. “We are working closely with Australia’s leading architects, builders, interior designers and hospitality professionals to bring an exciting new designer boutique hotel to Sydney.” “Corporate and leisure travellers are demanding a distinctly different hotel stay, with many opting for a boutique, personalised and well located hotel experience. West Hotel’s prime position close to Barangaroo and strong design elements will provide these travelers with a truly new and unique hotel experience in this dynamic Sydney CBD location.”
Style reigns at West Hotel, with acclaimed interior designers Woods Bagot teaming classic contemporary design with sophisticated yet natural cues. Bespoke artworks, graphic floors, sculptural lighting and natural stones are some of the design features that pair edgy industrial detailing with polished sophistication. Embodying the spirit of Australia from the moment guests step into the lobby with a stunning bespoke White Waratah artwork.
The Dining Room by West Hotel, the hotel’s all day dining restaurant, will be a relaxed, sophisticated dining experience. The menu will consist of a carefully curated selection of new and inspiring dishes with local and international influences, along with classic favourites. Dishes will be beautifully presented, delicious and created with nourishing and locally sourced ingredients, mindful of sustainability, seasonality and produce origins.
The adjacent lobby bar is designed to be completely immersive as artworks and thoughtful design details enrich the moody sophistication of the space.
The King Street Wharf and Barangaroo precincts are rapidly becoming the heart of the city with close proximity to major business and leisure hubs, the new International Convention Centre and transport connections including a new ferry wharf. Dining and drinking options are also aplenty with a plethora of leading restaurants, bars and cafes on West Hotel’s doorstep.
